Indefinite residency after 8 years in Türkiye

Foreigners who have resided legally and continuously in Türkiye for at least eight years can transfer to a long-term residence permit. It carries indefinite validity, is not renewed each period, and is the closest thing to permanent residency — granting an indefinite right to live, and broad rights to work, in the country.
